How to check a RERA project's booking status in Gujarat

Booking a flat or shop is a big payment. One thing worth knowing first is how much of the project has already been sold, because that tells you how much choice you still have and how the project is selling. The information is public, but it is buried in the RERA portal. Here is how to get to it quickly.

  1. 1

    Find the RERA registration number

Every registered project in Gujarat has one. You will find it on the booking brochure, on the hoarding at the project site, and on the project's RERA registration certificate. In Gujarat it starts with PR/GJ/ and continues with the district, the local authority and the project's own number. Copy the whole number, including every slash.

  2. 2

    Enter it in OpenFloor

Paste the number into the search box on the home page. OpenFloor reads the project's latest filing directly from the public Gujarat RERA portal, so there is nothing to install and no account is needed.

  3. 3

Read the booking status floor by floor

You get every unit grouped by floor and by block, marked booked or unbooked, with its carpet area and whether it is a residential unit or a shop. The default view shows what is still available, and you can switch to see everything.

  4. 4

Check how recent the data is

Promoters file their booking status with RERA every quarter, so the page always shows the date of the latest filing. A recent date means the numbers are close to the real situation. An older date means some units may have been booked since.
